Field Trip for International Students of the Bachelor Program in Digital Media Technology of Tzu Chi University

On the morning of October 28, 2022, with drizzling rain in the sky, a group of international students from Tzu Chi University’s Bachelor Program in Digital Media Technology were preparing to take the train from Hualien to Taipei to attend the Taipei National University of the Arts Animation Department – Kuandu International Animation Festival and Taiwan International a lot Show Exhibition held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1. The 12th Guandu International Animation Festival will be held on October 23, 2022, at the National Taipei University of the Arts and Activity Complex Building, and the event will last for seven days.

During the festival, in addition to the different units of animation screenings, there is also an amazing program ”Arts Electronica Animation”, and at the same time, the chairman of the AnimEDU Taiwan International Children and Youth Film Festival, Wang Chun-Huang, and the chef president of the German SCHLINGEL Film Festival, Michael Harbauer, were invited to share with an online interview. In addition to visiting the Guandu International Animation Festival and the Guandu Museum of Fine Arts, DMT’s international students were able to get in touch with different types of digital media technology applications explained in the classroom, and at the same time, they were able to enrich their appreciation and appreciation of art and aesthetics.

After the morning visit, we moved to the Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 to visit the “Taiwan International AIoT show Exhibition”. The exhibition featured nine thematic pavilions in line with industry trends and latest applications, including “Cloud Internet of Things”, “Future Smart Display Living-space Pavilion”, “Smart Manufacturing Digital Innovation”, “Smart City and Township Innovation”, “Smart IoT Chipset Integration Service”, “Smart Electronics Innovation”, “ESG Sustainability”, “Renewable Energy and Energy Storage System”, and “Industry Upgrade Innovation”. This year’s exhibition introduced for the first time AR tour, digital collection technology and several metaverse application technologies, including the virtual boxing training machine, elderly people rehabilitation and moderate exercise machine. On the way back, the students said they had benefited a lot from the visit and were looking forward to the next visit to broaden their horizons.
