Important Documents/Items
Please prepare the following documents and items before coming to Taiwan. Some documents must be submitted to the Office of Global Affairs (OGA), while others are for academic verification, ARC application, living expenses, and personal preparation after arrival.
Reminder: Please check whether each item is required to be submitted to OGA. You should also prepare sufficient New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) for your first days in Taiwan, especially before opening a bank or postal account.

Applicants whose previous degree program was taught in Chinese, or whose major was in Chinese language, must provide supporting documentation. English-taught departments, institutes, or degree programs, including those offering sufficient English-taught courses to meet graduation requirements: Submit proof of English proficiency equivalent to or above CEFR Level B1. Applicants from countries where English is an official and commonly used language, see Appendix 1, are exempt from this requirement. Applicants who obtained their previous degree in an English-speaking country or from a program taught entirely in English must provide relevant proof. |

OGA submission items include: passport, digital passport photo, health check form for ARC if required, residence or visitor visa, flight ticket, proof of financial support or scholarship award letter, language proficiency certificate, and ARC/bank account-related documents after arrival.

Before Buying Your Ticket
- Confirm your visa status.
- Submit the electronic copy of your visa to OGA.
- Discuss your suitable arrival date with OGA.
Before Coming to Taiwan
- Prepare passport, photos, financial proof, and language certificate.
- Bring verified diploma and transcript originals.
- Prepare sufficient New Taiwan Dollars.
After Arrival
- Apply for your ARC.
- Purchase bedding and personal items.
- Open a bank or postal account after obtaining your ARC.
