A standard suite with A/C occupies 391 square feet and accommodates 4 students.


Q: The University has two campuses. Which campus should I go to?

A: Students of the College of Medicine or the College of Education and Communication are on the Main Campus. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and International College are on the Jieren Campus.


Q: Can I move  into University housing  prior to the official check-in date?

A:  In special circumstances, such as typhoons or other natural disasters, students may apply for moving into University housing early.

Q: Is there a curfew or roll call for students staying in campus accommodations?

A:

  1. The most important thing in communal living is
    1. Graduate students may sign a Self-Management Agreement. Those who do not sign this agreement must abide by rules that apply to undergraduate students.
    2. For undergraduate students: Housing gates are closed between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 m. Random roll calls are made every night. Students wishing to study after lights out may use desk lamps in their rooms.

 Q: How to apply for on-campus housing?

A:

  • Application opens in April and May for on-campus housing in the next academic year to students who meet the following criteria
    • Participating in one or more fire drill(s) per academic year.
    • The total number of nights staying off-campus is 60 or less.
    • No more than 60 penalty points.
  • Application
    After sending out the letter of intent and before coming to Taiwan, the University will ask whether you will live in school housing or not. If you decide to do so, please fill in the information online. In case you have any questions, please ask OIA for help.
  • Freshmen are not allowed to change their rooms during the first academic year. Other students may choose to change rooms or stay in the same rooms.

Q: When do we check out of our rooms each semester?

A: On or before 12 noon, on the following Monday, after the semester ends.
